Off Campus Library Research Tips

Are you planning to work on research projects over spring break? Will you be off-campus? Here are some tips from the Olin and Chalmers Libraries' Research & Reference Desk:

* Almost all of our databases (http://kenyon.libguides.com/az.php) are available anywhere you are doing work. If you are asked to login with your name and barcode, simply type your full name (first name and last name) and the bar code which is found on the back of your K-Card (100000+your student id number).

* If you aren't sure which database is best for your project, each academic department has a page with suggested library resources appropriate for that area of study. http://kenyon.libguides.com/

* If you will be in Ohio, and near an OhioLINK library (https://www.ohiolink.edu/members), your Kenyon ID will allow for you to check out books at another college's library or have OhioLINK books and some journals delivered to the college library of your choice. Here are the directions on how to request the delivery of materials to another library or how to check out books at another library in the OhioLINK consortia: https://www.ohiolink.edu/content/how_borrow_library_materials

Kenyon's Research and Reference Desk will not be open during Spring Break. If you have any last minute questions, the desk is open today (Friday, March 3) from 10:00am-12:00pm and from 1:00pm-3:00pm. During break, if you have any questions you may send them via email to us (reference@kenyon.edu) but please allow about 24 hours for a response.

The Olin and Chalmers Libraries will be closed over the weekends. At the end of break, the library will re-open on Sunday, March 19 at 1:00pm. For the building's break hours, go to https://lbis.kenyon.edu/about-lbis/hours
