An Evening with Brian Alexander on 2/15 at 7:30pm

Join LBIS in welcoming author Brian Alexander as he talks about his new book Glass House: The 1 Percent Economy and the Shattering of an All-American Town. The Kirkus Review describes Glass House as "A devastating and illuminating book that shows how a city and a country got where they are and how difficult it can be to reverse course." In Glass House, Alexander recounts the decline of his “All-American” hometown, Lancaster, OH through the effect of predatory finance on its once prosperous glassware industry.

Brian Alexander is a California-based writer who has published in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Science, Esquire, and Glamour. He was contributing editor at Wired and is a regular contributor to NBCnews.com and Outside Magazine.
