Requesting Kenyon library books to be placed on hold (new!)

You can search the stacks for books or you can try this new request feature.

Kenyon owned books and circulating AV material can now be requested in CONSORT (our online catalog) by Kenyon patrons!  You no longer need to retrieve books from the stacks; Our Access Services staff can do it for you. Here is how this new service works:

  1. Place a request for an item in the online catalog, CONSORTIf there are multiple copies available in the CONSORT catalog, the request will default to the Kenyon copy or allow you to select the Kenyon copy.
  2. Access Services staff will pull the item for you and place it on the holdshelf, which is located at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor of Olin Library.
  3. You will receive an email notification letting you know when the item is on the holdshelf.
  4. You will have ten days to pick up the item and check it out. Don't forget to bring your K-card with you.

If you have any questions, you may ask for assistance at either the Research & Reference or Circulation Desks.
