Database of the Week: The Community Within (Digital Kenyon)

Each February, Kenyon College celebrates Black History Month. In recognition of this celebration, the library will be highlighting library resources that focus and recognize events, people, and social movements associated with the African Diaspora.

This week, we call attention to The Community Within, an archival collection, assembled by Professor Ric Sheffield, that "chronicles the life experiences of Black people and other minority groups that reside within the larger racially and culturally dominant community of Knox County." Here are two collections available, via Digital Kenyon, in The Community Within:

If you ever have any questions about using or finding any of the library's  resources, don't hesitate to contact the library's Research & Reference Desk or email a librarian. The library staff is available to help you, whether you are on-campus or studying remotely. The Research & Reference Desk is available daily (hours vary) via chat, text (740-444-4031), and email (reference@kenyon.edu). You may also make an appointment with a librarian for one-on-one help.

Assistance from Research & Reference Desk is available online via chat, email, text, or by appointment. The desk located in Library B is not physically open this semester.
