LBIS welcomes visitors: Kenyon alumni, prospective students, families, guest researchers, and members of the community.
Services for Visitors
- Community borrowing -- LBIS offers guest borrowing privileges to the community. Please inquire at the circulation desk.
- OhioLINK borrowing -- Most materials in Kenyon's circulating collection are available to OhioLINK members. Please present your home library ID to check out materials.
- Wireless access -- Guest wireless accounts are available to campus visitors. To acquire a guest account, please ask a Kenyon student, staff, or faculty member to sponsor you. A guest login will be emailed in about 1/2 hour. If you are not affiliated with a Kenyon community member, please stop by the HelpLine in the library to ask for an account. You must present a current photo ID.
Library Collections of Interest to Visitors
- Special Collections and Archives --Open to the public during restricted hours.
- Government documents -- Available for use to the general public during library hours. To borrow materials, you must have borrowing privileges.
Hours
- Library hours vary during the year, depending on when classes are in session.
- Not all services or departments are open all hours the library is open.
Visiting Kenyon and LBIS
- Kenyon College is located in Gambier, about 5 miles east of Mt. Vernon. LBIS is located in the center of campus off Middle Path.
