RILM Abstracts of Music Literature (1969 - )
RILM offers an international bibliography of scholarly writings on music and related disciplines in 202 languages, including original language titles; title translations in English; full bibliographic information; abstracts in English; and author, journal, and subject indexes. Includes all forms of scholarly works.

Music Index Online (1979-)
Music Index Online surveys data from more than 640 international music periodicals. Topics concerned with every aspect of the classical and popular world of music are categorized and organized according to a Subject Heading List. A broad range of subjects are indexed, covering musicological or organological topics, plus book reviews, record reviews, first performances, and obituaries.

Academic Search Complete
Academic Search Complete is a comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database designed specifically for academic institutions. This resource contains more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition, Academic Search Complete offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1865, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.

Humanities International Complete
Humanities International Index is a comprehensive database covering 2,000 journals, as well as books and reference sources in the humanities. All data from American Humanities Index is included with the addition of international coverage. This database provides citation information for articles, essays and reviews, as well as original creative works including poems and fiction. Photographs, paintings and illustrations are also referenced.

Arts and Humanities Citation Index (1980 - ) (ISI Citation Indexes)
Arts & Humanities Citation Index indexes 1,100 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals, as well as covering individually selected, relevant items from over 7,000 major science and social science journals.

• Omaha Indian Music (from the American Folklife Center, Library of Congress) This site features traditional Omaha music from the 1890s and 1980s.

• The British Library Sound Archive A small selection of recordings held in the British Library.

• Fort Valley State College Folk Festivals (African American Performers) Consists of approximately one hundred sound recordings, primarily blues and gospel songs, and related documentation from the folk festival at Fort Valley State College.

• Popular American Music-a digital collection of late 19th & early 20th century sheet music and recordings that are in the public domain anda subset of UCLA Music Library's Archive of Popular Music, which covers the history of popular music in the US from 1790-present.

• Music for the Nation: American Sheet Music: 1870-1885 consists of over 47,000 pieces of sheet music registered for copyright during the years 1870 to 1885. Included are popular songs, piano music, sacred and secular choral music, solo instrumental music, method books and instructional materials, and music for band and orchestra.

• I Hear America Singing integrates the collections, commissions and live concerts of the Library of Congress, allowing users to discover the Library's music and performing-arts collections through a single gateway on the Web. • Historic American Sheet Music (Duke University) This site provides access to digital images of 3042 pieces from the collection, published in the United States between 1850 and 1920.

• Southern Mosaic: The John and Ruby Lomax 1939 Southern States Recording Trip A multiformat ethnographic field collection that includes nearly 700 sound recordings, as well as fieldnotes, dust jackets, and other manuscripts documenting a three-month, 6,502-mile trip through the southern United States.

• The Choral Public Library This is the largest website devoted exclusively to free choral sheet music. Begun in December 1998, the site has over 250 contributors and 6,000 scores.
