Academic Search Complete: a great general database to start your research.
You can limit a search to academic journals or to publications for the general public using the magazines and newspapers.
Add databases to your search by clicking on the Choose Databases link.
Biological Abstracts: is the primary index to the life science journal literature covering such subjects as agriculture, biochemistry, biomedicine, biotechnology, botany, ecology, microbiology, pharmacology, and zoology.
Science Citation Index: indexes major journals across 164 scientific disciplines. The unique feature of this database is the Cited Reference Search.
Use the Cited Reference Search to follow a journals citations back and forward in time.
Medline (Pubmed): provides free access to MEDLINE, the NLM database of more than 11 million bibliographic citations and abstracts in the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, health care systems, and preclinical sciences. Includes access to additional selected life sciences journals not in MEDLINE. Links to the molecular biology databases maintained by NCBI.
