The Census and Statistics

  • U.S. Census Bureau : In addition to the Census of Population and Housing, the Economic Census may be of use.
  • American FactFinder: Search for information by city and state. In addition to the Decennial Census, the American Community Surveys may be of use.
  • U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services: National on statistics on legal immigrants, refugees, asylees, temporary admissions, naturalization, and enforcement.
  • Census Scope: Provides a breakdown of major metropolitan areas by race.

To find dissertations, search Dissertation Abstracts or WorldCat. You can order the dissertation, for a charge, directly from ProQuest, or you can request it through OhioLINK or Interlibrary loan. Remember, ILL may take from 2-6 weeks, so try to plan ahead. You can also check out dissertations directly from the lending institution (Ohio State for example) with your Kenyon ID.
