ELECTRONIC DICTIONARY
Grove Dictionary of Art
An encyclopedia of 45,000 articles covering art and artists worldwide.
It is a comprehensive art reference work covering all forms of the
visual arts: painting, sculpture, architecture, graphic and decorative
arts, and photography, from prehistory to the 1990s. 3,000 thumbnail images are displayed
in the text of articles with links to an additional 40,000 art images.

Full Text (1929-present)
Art Full Text provides comprehensive abstracting and indexing for 400
leading international art publications, including periodicals, yearbooks,
and museum bulletins. This database offers broad coverage of art topics,
including advertising, archaeology, crafts, folk art, graphic arts,
interior design, video, film, architecture, and art history.
Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA) (1973 - )
The Bibliography of the History of Art covers European and
American art from late antiquity to the present and indexes and
abstracts art-related books, conference proceedings and dissertations,
exhibition and dealer's catalogs, and articles from more than 4,800
periodicals.
Humanities International Complete (1984 - )
The Humanities International Complete Index is a comprehensive database
covering 2,000 journals, as well as books and reference sources in the
humanities. All data from American Humanities Index
is included with the addition of international coverage. This database
provides citation information for articles, essays and reviews, as well
as original creative works including poems and fiction. Photographs,
paintings and illustrations are also referenced.
Academic Search Complete
AAcademic Search Complete is a comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database
designed specifically for academic institutions. This resource contains more than 5,300 full-text
periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition, Academic Search Complete offers
indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including
monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as
far as 1865, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.

Humanities Citation Index (1990 - )
Arts & Humanities Citation Index indexes 1,100 of the world's
leading arts and humanities journals, as well as covering individually
selected, relevant items from over 7,000 major science and social
science journals.
Index to
19th Century American Art Periodicals
The Index to 19th-Century American Art Periodicals indexes 42 art
journals published in the US during the 19th century, providing
nearly complete coverage of journals from this period. The Index
describes the entire journal contents articles, art notes,
illustrations, stories, poems, and advertisements and offers
information on popular culture and industry, artists and illustrators,
painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, architecture and design,
exhibitions and sales, decorations, and collecting.

Index to Architectural Peridicals (1977 - )
The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals< indexes more than
1,000 periodicals published worldwide on archaeology, city planning,
interior design, and historic preservation, as well as architecture.
It is updated daily.

Digital Media Center at
OhioLINK
The Digital Media Center currently features the
Art and Architecture
Database, which includes collections of Greek and Roman
architecture and sculpture, Minoan Art, Brueghel and Reubens
paintings from the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, works of
Michelangelo, and selected images from several art history textbooks.
ARTSTOR
The ARTstor Charter Collection currently contains approximately
300,000 images; by 2006 it is expected to contain 500,000. The Charter
Collection documents artistic traditions across many times and
cultures and embraces architecture, painting, sculpture, photography,
decorative arts, and design as well as many other forms of visual
culture.
ELECTRONIC JOURNALS

Includes the full text of approximately 40 arts and humanities journals
from Elsevier, Academic Press, Springer-Verlag, Kluwer and Project
Muse.
JSTOR
Provides access to the full content of a variety of scholarly journals. Coverage
generally begins with volume one of a journal, and ends 2-5 years from
the present. Journals may be browsed or
searched.

Union Catalogue: Art Libraries Network Florence - Munich - Rome The Union Catalogue of the three German research institutes was initiated by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). Amongst its special features are coverage of articles in periodicals etc., and intense subject indexing for titles entered since 1996. The database is increasing with the retrospective conversion of the card catalogues.
