Black and White or Color Printing: OS X 10.4

 

Unlike Windows machines, Mac computers print to public printers in color by default. Follow these instructions when you wish to print in black and white from your Mac.

  1. In the application from which you want to print, select File > Print.
  2. Select the printer you want to use.
  3. From the dropdown menu below Presets, select Color Sync.

  4. In the Quartz Filter box, select Black & White.
