What is Banned Books Week?
An annual week-long celebration of your freedom to choose or express your personal opinion.
According to the American Library Association, the following books were the most challenged in 2008:

- Gossip Girl (series) by Cecily von Ziegesar
- Uncle Bobby's Wedding by Sarah S. Brannen
- The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
- Flashcards of my Life by Charise Mericle Harper
