Update Windows Vista

Apply Security Patches Automatically

Kenyon requires that all Windows computers connecting to the network keep up-to-date with Windows updates.  Users whose systems run Windows XP and Vista must make sure their system is configured for automatic updates. This document pertains to Windows Vista.

  1. Click  Start > Control Panel (Start menu).
  2. Select Check this computer's security status under the "Security" heading (Control Panel Home).
  3. If  Automatic Updating is on (green), then you're done. Otherwise, expand the Automatic Updating field.
  4. Click  Change Settings.
  5. Select Install Updates Automatically (reccomended). Vista will ask for confirmation. Click Continue.
