Black Studies on Disc [Information Center CD-Rom] contains information on materials by and about African Americans, Africa and peoples of African ancestry. The database is based on the holdings of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, a division of The New York Public Library and the world's leading library of materials relating to the African diaspora. Also included are periodical citations from G. K. Hall & Co.'s Index to Black Periodicals (1989-1993), covering a broad range of popular magazines and scholarly journals.
